The Brothers Ewart & Edwin McLaughlin grew up on a farm north of Tillsonburg, Ontario. Their first joint business venture was the creation of “The Wedge Cheese House” in 1979, that specialized in retail food entree’s.

In 1984 Ewart and Edwin McLaughlin purchased their first industrial building. The 132,000 square foot building is located on 273 Ingersoll Avenue, Woodstock, Ontario and was a former Firestone Textiles plant. The building was renovated and old machinery was dismantled making way for warehouse space.

“The Wedge Cheese House” grew into a wholesaling, and manufacturing facility making their own frozen entree’s. In 1988 it was sold to pursue interests in aggregate’s, excavation, and ready-mix concrete.

Over the past 20 years E&E McLaughlin Ltd., has built a extensive warehousing and rental business consisting of over 2,000,000 square feet under roof, with various locations through out South Western Ontario. This has been accomplished by purchasing vacant industrial properties, renovating them, and breaking them into units suitable for multiple tenants.

One of their largest challenges was the renovating of their 420,000 square foot warehouse in Delhi, Ontario. The McLaughlin Brothers took the building with it’s excising infrastructure and broke it into sections creating dry & cold storage for the automotive and food industries.

In appreciation of the McLaughlin Brothers hard work, the Delhi District Chamber Of Commerce presented them with an award recognizing their achievements in improving the appearance of the community in 2005.
